Yes, it should drive up the cost of adrates per video. Which helps creators. But
as you say, maybe you won't want to advertise there at that point. It seems to me that it's so over saturated right now, a sea of endless content, where youtube is having to track earnings for millions of people making 10 cents a day. I don't know. I have a channel that earns about $12 a day with 11K subscribers. I'd imagine this change would reflect positively on channels like mine earning me more ad rev. If not, then Youtube is screwing me over. I think if content creators knew that if they reached the required threshold and boom they start at $3 or $4 a day, then that is real incentive. But, when you have channels with 15K subscribers and a healthy amount of views earning $3 a day, then that's really discouraging. What's the point?
