Can you look at it the other way and tell me why marajuana shouldn't be legal?
Maybe I'm naive, but having laws against marajuana doesn't seem to be stopping its use. Marajuana laws do, however, create a massive black market that drives criminal, gang and cartel activity, funds terror globally, and results in tens of thousands of violent deaths each year, without addressing the actual issue or helping those ensnared in addiction. It costs tax payers Billions and Billions of dollars as well, but enriches only the most corrupt individuals on the planet. Why not allow it, tax it, regulate it, make it safer, fund education and rehabilitation with the proceeds and allow Walmart shareholders to make profits on it instead of the Pablo Escobars of the world to become super wealthy and influential?

It sort of feels like attempting to legislate against earthquakes. I mean, why don't we just make earthquakes illegal? No one like them, they cause damage. Just make a law banning earthquakes, right? My point is, fantasy laws that don't address controllable issues at hand just create more issues than they solve.
