I didn't realize the average wage for a server is only $9. I heard this on HBO tonight.

Most servers are women and so it seems unfair. We should give all restaurant workers the same minimum wage as everyone else and ingrain in culture to tip better.

The standard should be 20% and more if the service is good.

If their tips don’t bring them to at least minimum wage the restaurant has to make up the difference. No one walks out
