If after your due diligence and prayer, it sounds like and feels like a good opportunity, I’d do it. You are young, this is perhaps the best time to take a risk. Working hard and being rewarded for my own efforts and not worrying about some other person deciding what I’m worth has been extremely motivating for me and rewarding financially in my own career. I am all for people being there own bosses, but it is not for everyone. You need to be a hard worker. You need to pay a price with your time. But if you work hard and put in the time, you may find financial rewards beyond what you ever imagined. And then, once the business is rolling, you can take your foot off the grass pedal and enjoy tremendous flexibility of your time and your ability to serve and pursue other interests. The most successful people I know don’t work for other people. As life passes and financial burdens mount, it’s very hard to take a risk like this. Who knows if an opportunity like this presents itself again?
