...one is a chess player and is constantly countering and adjusting to try and get and maintain an edge over his opponent (Bennett). The other (Rose) is more of an, "ok, these are my guys and I'm going to stick with them win or lose" once we reach the home stretch of a game. He will mix and match his guys during the early part of the game but will invariably reach a point in the game where he's sticking with his favorites win or lose, sort of a "Go with the horses that brought you" philosophy.
In sticking with the horses that brought him down the stretch vs SMC last time Rose kept Seljaas in the game even though he was not a good matchup at the 4 vs Fitzner as he and Naar teamed up in the PNR to hit several key baskets to give SMC the lead while Seljaas never tried to counter by being a weapon on offense and instead passed up open shot after open shot at the top of the key so he could force-feed the ball into a crowded post to Yoeli Childs.
My hope this coming game is that Rose doesn't stop tweaking his lineup to look for an edge and continues to try to find combos that create matchup problems for SMC, that he keeps looking for guys who will produce on both ends of the floor.
