Mitchell will be on the Jazz for 7-8 more years depending on how contracts work out. Teams that draft a player have obvious contract and matching options.

Everyone points to Hayward leaving the Jazz as an example of not being able to keep a player. He took 7 full years to develop, while Mitchell is clearly on a different level after year one. If Jazz can’t make meaningful runs and moves in the next 7 years, we don’t deserve to keep him beyond that.
