There are not many jobs that can evoke the same draining mental emotions as walking around by yourself in 100 degree weather for days or even weeks, being constantly rejected and treated like absolute human garbage for 8-12 hours a day, and only getting paid if you are able to make a sale. I once worked for 12 days in a row without making a single dollar, talk about reaching the brink of insanity. There was no better motivation for me to do well in school than 4 years of door to door sales.
