Done that a few times
Industrial transformers and the hawk missile system another time. I also watched a robot cut steel all day just to clear any jams which almost never happened. Also ran a drill press all day for weeks. Unless you have had one of these jobs, you cannot imagine how slow the second hand on a clock can move.
