Problems.that is a point I really wish was brought up more.

Two big things for me is that I believe the things most people think would be resolved by paying teachers more would only be solved through better parenting and we all know that is only getting worse. The other is even tough I truly didn’t have even 1 teacher stand out to me as a real mentor or supporter, I somehow went through school, especially pre high school, in complete mediocrity and ended up quite well off... problem kids and “gifted” kids get all the attention and yet I’m feay better that fine. My parents did pay for 2 college semesters... other than that the debt was mine.

Too much is placed on teachers... they are often more babysitters than teachers. Teachers are amazing people but their efforts, no matter how much money given to them, cannot ever scratch the surface of what actual parents should be doing
