We bought a car new 10 years ago. Because it is a single owner car, there
were never any issues that were a surprise to us, and we never had to worry about cloudy titles. It’s also nice to have that peace of mind when it is new that your car will just work without a problem.
I’m not saying it’s the smartest financial decision, but it makes practical sense for some.

Hardly anyone does these days. Everyone leases which allows the auto industry to keep churning out vehicles.
