used Odyssey market back then. People wanted 20k for a 3-5 year old 50k mile van. I bought new for 28k out the door for an EX with rear DVD player. It's been a great vehicle that we plan on having for another few years, we've racked up 170k miles on it so far. Was 8k worth 50k miles and 3 years of abuse? It was for me. I know nowadays that Odysseys with the rear DVD system cost a lot more than 28k though so you're probably right for the current market.
