I’ve had success buying new, and buying used
Both our current cars were bought new; they are now 11 and 7 years old.
I think buying new has worked out just fine for us since we’ve kept our vehicles for so long and we plan on keeping them for many more years.
Particularly our 11 year old Honda Oddessey. We wouldn’t have saved much money buying used anyway.

Hardly anyone does these days. Everyone leases which allows the auto industry to keep churning out vehicles.
