You can't even sit for the bar until you have 2,000 hours on the job as a clerk supervised by a licensed attorney or judge (judicial clerkship). Ultimately I think that means making it more, not less, difficult to become a lawyer.

Very true. I've long thought law school should be 2 years rather than 3. Give students the basic foundation

Northwestern offers a 2-year JD. Some others, too, but NW is most prestigious.

You can do 5 semesters at byu, I did it. It’s just not 24 months
