I think that absolutely teams like Houston, Colorado St, UCF, USF, Cincinnait or even UNLV would be better draws than many of the current P5 bottom feeders. You're looking at Iowa St, Oregon St, Washington St et al having had the advantage of being a P5 school for many yrs while the others have struggled by not being one. Imagine what those other schools could be with the same money and prestige advantage.

BYU absolutely would be a much better contributor by being a bigger TV draw along with filling conference stadiums along with having better home facilities, and a better overall athletic department than any bottom feeder school you could mention. The best conferences are those that are strong top to bottom (SEC, B1G) rather than the ones with a couple top dogs and the rest mediocre (P12, B12).
