I honestly hope so.  If not, I hope the guy who starts will have a good season.  I agree Tanner struggled in Detmer's offense.  Anae was a master at understanding a QB's limitations and developing gameplans that hide them.  He made Jake Heaps a decent QB.  He also did very well in getting Tanner ready for most games his Freshman year.

Here are two questions about Tanner that he will have to answer in Fall Camp:

1.  Can he see the middle of the field and not throw interceptions?  I think we know the answer to this.  Unfortunately, it seems to be No.  He can't.  Maybe he can turn it around his Sr year.  Hopefully.

2.  Can he stay healthy?  After last year, I doubt it.  Ankle issues for a number of games, and then the Achilles rupture.  He can't be our QB if he can't stay healthy.  He can't run our offense if he lacks mobility because of a minor injury.  This is also my biggest concern about Hoge.  Neither can stay on the field.  This is the biggest skill for a football player--injury avoidance.
