I think that's part of the point. Re-reading (listening?) to the HP audio-books with my kids and Rowlings
writing short-comings are very clear. Not only with the use of language, but also with plot holes, etc.
But at the end of the day, they are not only fun stories in a fun universe, but the writing *is* superior to Star Wars.
