No he’s not dumb. But there was a reason his name was rarely tied to key recruits landed by BYU. He just is too brash and condescending with players and recruits. It’s well known. And he owns it. It’s why his second time coming back to BYU, they told him he needed to be more media friendly and tone down the way he talks to people.
