I had a similar issue
I was in the top 10% of my law class that feeds firms in midwestern cities. My classmates, ranked below me, we’re getting offers in Chicago, Minneapolis, Omaha, St Louis and Kansas City.
Because of my ranking, I could do all of the on campus interviews.
I didn’t get a single call back. Not one.
