USC is a great school located in the middle of gang central. The general admission type seats at the Colliseum have a crowd that is flat out scary in a way that you would almost never see in the worst crime spots in SLC. Interacting with the seedy element of USC fans is the only time at sporting events that I have feared for my safety and I have been to lots of venues. The elite and wealthy Trojan faithful know that part of their fan base are hardened criminals. I doubt they would talk behavior smack about an extremely tame Utah crowd (by comparison).
