Is that above reproach? Um...don't think so. It isn't exactly a ringing endorsement. We're just willing to accept reality.

I never understand the people who are SO SURE that the coaches have some heisman/all american candidate player at QB, RB, WR, CB, LB, DL whatever sitting on the bench and refuse to play him because they are stubborn or just really like one of the other players who isn't very good but the coaches play anyway.

The most logical answer really is usually the correct one. And logically the coaches will play the players that give them the best chance to win. So if the question is why aren't the coaches playing a different player, the answer is - because they don't think that particular player gives the team the best chance to win. It's really that simple.

So - we've established that no one thinks Mangum is winning any major awards this year. Isn't it OK if we're just happy that he played well enough to win the game? Can't we do that?
