I agree with you for the most part
I do think teachers need to find different teaching methods for the different types of learners out there. The vast majority of my professors would just have walls of text on PowerPoints that they would read aloud and expect us to learn from that.

I also think teachers shouldn’t be assigning work for the sake of work. The work they assign should provide learning opportunities. I also disagree with what some of the students suggested and I’ve seen some teachers institute of not having deadlines.

And test writing is one of the biggest weaknesses of most high school and college professors. They’re either so easy that a significant portion of the class gets A’s, or they’re so hard that the highest score is a 60% (or worse). Tests should be an accurate reflection of how well students understand the material and also differentiate the top students from the worst students, and the scores should reflect both of those things.

But also, because exams are such a narrow way to assess a student’s understanding, I don’t believe they should be worth a majority of the grade in any class. I’ve worked with several highly competent people who simply get petrified when taking a test.
