It just doesn't make the news that often as it, naturally, happens mostly to players that weren't contributing and therefore aren't well known by the fans.


Now Rose is an extreme case and he seems to be wanting a quick fix by kicking half his team to the curb after every season, but it's still ridiculous to think it doesn't happen in other BYU sports, including football.
