I always find it appalling when BYU fans boo their own team.
We want all these kids to succeed. But we decide to boo any time we don't win. Or decide to boo a coach that spends countless hours away from his family and dealing with all the same fans booing him. Traveling to recruit. Trying to manage kids problems and lift them up. People are trying.
Ironically the place that is most hostile, at times, for all these players and coaches that we want to support is LES.
Makes a whole lot of sense if they like away games better. Only the best of best fans who actually support the team show up to away games. Personally, I love the atmosphere of away games for that reason.
Maybe we should actually start supporting the team instead of putting them down when they don't meet our expectations.

I detest booing our own players or coaches, but there really weren't that many--at least not enough to fuss about
