Most important thing for him to do is to acknowledge fault and apologize to

that guy. Not sure if anyone can compel him to do this, but that is the best thing that can happen. Yes he should be suspended, charged with assault - I don't know, but the best he could do is write an apology to that player, and maybe another one to the team.
