The real problem is that BYU hasn't shown

that they can recruit at a P5 level. With modern technology the good LDS kids get noticed by stronger programs nowl and BYU doesn't combat that by effectively recruiting non members... Until the Cougars can compete in recruiting, it won't make sense for a P5 to take them on.
