If nothing happens with the Big 12 before, I think 2030 or so will be a key year
The LHN contract expires in 2031, and you have to think that they won't get such a sweetheart deal again. This will change the college football landscape, as Texas likely either becomes open to the idea of a Big 12 Network, to change conferences, or some other option.
There is also still the idea that the P5 will split into a new division, possibly one not part of the NCAA.
