There was nothing "co" about it. Team A holds the tiebreaker, thus team A is the champ. For some reason that seems to have been lost in the last few years. The most egregious case was the Baylor-TCU "co-championship" a few years ago.

Division co-championships are not a thing. You lost the head to head to USC, so

Co-championships is only possible if 1) not every team plays every other team (see the Big 10 (11) from the mid 90's
