The problem is that the govt has cut revenues and increased spending. It is

definitely irresponsible to spend beyond your means, even if you are the Federal government. It is the very definition of irresponsible. Result = Trillion dollar deficits next year, even with an expanding economy. Evenutally, you have to pay the piper. Or if you're old, maybe your kids and grandkids do.

I agree that if combined with corresponding spending cuts, then tax cuts are not irresponsible, in most cases.
