I remember coaching a Jr. Jazz game (younger kids) years ago in the Sandy area. We played a team where the coach's strategy was to create plays that violated the age-based rules for the league. He would use this to free up his key player to score. The young kid who was reffing was under pressure to call it and pretty much backed down. As I remember They won by a point or one basket. It was the only game our team lost that season. (We had a couple of really good players on our team).
Same thing in flag football in the same area. We got to a late season game and the other team showed up with their best players all wearing cleats. It was well into the season and they new what they were doing. They said they couldn't go back and change shoes, so they let them play that way.
