I could go into more details, but corruption is very strong, taxes are high, economy is always dependent on coal (meaning it's depressed), drugs are a big problem (and, hence, crime is fairly high), and the only thing Charleston really has going for it is that it isn't Huntington. It is one of the most unhealthy populations in America, but that shouldn't really affect an ophthalmologist.

On the plus side, they are the #1 consumer of Mountain Dew in the country.
