Econ allows a lot of flexibility (I went to med school) since it’s so short.
You’ll learn fantastic stuff about how to analyze policy. That said, BYUs macroeconomics program isn’t great. The micro stuff is great and econometrics training is solid.

Econ also doesn’t seem to be as coordinated in its effort to land jobs for students upon graduation. Doesn’t seem to be as much advising.

But the material and degree are fantastic. I loved every minute of it, but it’s jot for everyone.
