and recruiting philosophy. Post-detmer, Sitake has gone out to get the best talent he could find in the coaching ranks. I'm not sure he could've done much better on that front.
And the recruiting approach is refreshing but not necessary effective because the best recruiting pitch is wins and exciting football. But I'm a fan of not offering only Utah and Idaho kids. He's targeting athletes who are under the radar and spending some effort to get nationally ranked recruits that are low probability but also don't cost much to pursue.
Nobody knows how this will go down yet but at least he understands that it's talent that wins games. It'll take a couple elite players on D and O in a given year (coupled with some above average coaching which I'm not sure we have) to yield a special season.
I'm curious if others see it the same way.
