Front-loaded schedules are nothing new for BYU football, and if we’re comparing

apples to apples, BYU football simply doesn’t play tougher schedules relative to their peers than BYU basketball.

As for the early-season gauntlet, no one is complaining about recent teams losing to Cal or Washington. It’s the losses to UMass, NIU, ECU, and the abysmal record against USU, BSU, and Utah that are most telling.
