At one time they were planning on using the SE corner of the airport

as the area for the terminal expansion. I'm not sure if that is still the case, but if so, there is a lot of open area there. If you look on Google maps you can see part of the old runway is in that area. They would rip that up and there is plenty of land there near the current runway to put a terminal.
