If the athletic cost is rolled into tuition, then a lot of parents and government funds are being used for it. Outside of tuition, likely it rests on the students more. I was lucky enough to have parents pay help me pay for tuition, but the rest of college costs were on me, including a sports pass. If my tuition was 150$ more and my athletic pass was free, it changed who paid for it in my case, and I’m probably not the only one like this.
