She is missing the point
BYU doesn’t have issues selling student tickets. The ROC will be full on August 29th. The passes will be sold. The issue BYU has is when the Losses start to pile up, their home schedule in October and November sucks, the weather gets cold, and the games don’t start until 8 or 9 pm students would rather do something else besides watch 2 bad teams. Start to throw in midterms and there is no wondering why the students don’t attend. Even schools like Alabama have issues getting their students to attend their annual November scrimmage against an FCS team.

If BYU starts winning and there is major bowl game implications on the line you better believe students will be there later on in the season. Winning fixes everything. Student attendance/atmosphere included.
