The question is whether you believe that our starting RBs over the years have on the whole been better than rated or whether you believe a guy like Ty’son has been mostly a victim of the fact that other programs stockpile really good players.

Hard to say. Experience with transfers over the years suggests that such players become above average players (but not necessarily superstars) at BYU even if they were average to slightly below average elsewhere. Squally, Manaia Brown, Uani Unga, Uona Kaveinga, etc etc
