the negative effects on the health of the youth, and the horrible way the sport sucks money away from the schools (only about 15-20 schools in the country operate in the black...the rest take money from students through fees and budget appropriations). It's hard to really justify it just because it increases school spirit.

And man I would hate to see it go. But yeah, probably it should.
