league. Also A LOT of kids who otherwise wouldn't get a college education or wouldn't get a Stanford, Michigan, or Texas education get one because of football. That includes not only underprivileged kids who would in many cases not be in college or possibly not graduate, but do because they are on the football team. It also includes every student athlete not playing Men's Bball-- since football pays for all of the other sports by itself.
Think of how many BYU players never played in the pros but have an education and a name that helps them in the job market in part because of BYU sports. And BYU has historically had a lot fewer kids on the FB team that might otherwise not have gone to college when compared to most programs.
