couldn't get past the academic admissions hurdles at BYU, but got admitted to Utah no problem. Those are just two off the top of my head. There many cases like that. There are probably quite a few we never hear about as well because they probably get sifted out before they can even be considered for an offer.

BYU does have a higher bar for athlete admissions than other schools and the conversation has been going on ever since I can remember.
