that dribbling 10 seconds off the clock and then shooting a 37-foot buzzer beater is a really good idea.
I'm no fan of the Thunder, and I'm totally glad that Lillard made the shot, but it *was* a horrible shot. Personally, I think he lost track of time, but if he did deliberately decide to work the clock down to the buzzer and then take that shot, it was a horrible choice. A horrible choice that ended well for the Blazers, but still a horrible choice.
For all the fanboy comments like "But he's DAME!!! He is really good at that shot!!!" bear in mind that Lillard is *even better* at making shots closer to the basket. I'm certainly willing to believe that Lillard makes that shot 2 or 3 times out of 10, and that's probably better than most players in the NBA, but Lillard driving hard to the hoop with ~3 seconds left is probably 2 or 3 times more likely to get points. And with the game tied, any number of points would do.
