And Utah doesn't claim they have a dozen guys running a 4.4 or lower.
Keep in mind, here are last year's 40 times from the combine below 4.4:
Donte Jackson (LSU): 4.32
Denzel Ward (OSU): 4.32
Parry Nickerson (Tulane): 4.32
DJ Chark (LSU): 4.34
Marquez Valdes-Scantling (USF): 4.37
Nyheim Hynes (NCST): 4.38
Shaquem Griffin (UCF): 4.38
Jaire Alexander (Louisville): 4.38
That's everyone. 8 guys out of 336. You honestly believe there were 3 BYU players in this range? I know Trinnaman's 40 time at the pro day was apparently in the 4.2 range (which would have made him one of the fastest EVER in the NFL), but he's not on a team, so I'm not buying it. Someone that fast gets a shot somewhere. We'll see if Simon or Tanner get combine invites the next few years, but neither of them looked that fast in any game I've seen (admittedly few). If they're as fast as Nyheim Hynes and Jaire Alexander I'm expecting very good things from them, but I don't buy it. I suspect both of those BYU guys run in the 4.6 range. Respectable, but not insane.
