GSW - 1st Offensive Rating/13th Defensive Rating
Houston - 2nd Off Rtg/17th Def Rtg
Portland - 3rd Off Rtg/16th Def Rtg
Denver - 6th Off Rtg/10th Def Rtg
And Utah - 15th Off Rtg/2nd Def Rtg
I wonder if Utah should be looking to improve their offense this off-season, for like the 4th or 5th off-season in a row. So many opinions out there that sound like this: "Utah can't add that guy, he'd hurt the defense too much" or "I know he'd make the team better offensively, but who is he going to guard?"
A score of 110-105 gets you the same W as a game ending 94-89. Being great defensive will almost always guarantee making the playoffs. But it doesn't matter how good your defense is when you can't score on anyone in the playoffs. Hot take, I know. But the Western Conference hopefully showed Lindsey that counting on Exum and "Jazz DNA" isn't getting it done. But maybe Grayson Allen is the key since he scored on a couple of teams who didn't care to end the season?
