My wife gets it all the time. She’s a schoolteacher and was pregnant this last year. When she’d talk to parents during
parent/teacher conferences, she had several parents say things like “so are you going to stay home after the baby comes” (which in and of itself is pretty disrespectful to a professional woman in regards to her professional life/status), but then would respond like “oh...” when she’d say that she was going to return as soon as her maternity leave ended.
