But with both of my two little ones it was important to put them in bed and not pick them up again. They got comforted if they cried, but not picked up again, and then we left and came back over progressively longer periods (3 min, 5 min, 7 min, 10 min). It only took a few days for the older one and about a week and a half for the younger one. Now they go to bed pretty well most of the time.
