Selling by the seat doesn’t make your point, unless the contract
protects you from having to share a small portion of your seat (and the associated air space) with an adjacent passenger. So far nobody has produced any contractual language to that effect.
There’s a difference between real inconveniences (which large passengers can create) and contractual protections from those inconveniences.
