Also, am I alone in this argument? If the question is whether large passengers
SHOULD BE forced to buy a second seat, then I agree that I am in a relatively small minority.
But the question here is whether the contract of carriage protects passengers sitting next to large passengers from any inconvenience or encroachment on their seat or air space. It's not clear that I'm in the minority on that contractual question.
