I think most of us acknowledge the free agency to make our own choices.
I don't think anything questions a person's right to choose to pursue dangerous activities.

The question is retrospective: After a person has died chasing a thrill, how do you feel about it? A great way to go out? Or a complete waste of a perfectly good life that could have been spent doing good works here on Earth?
