member participating in the dangerous activity. We've had a lot of "I don't care! I don't judge anyone!" comments, but you know a lot of these exact same people would try to intervene if their own child (or spouse, or sibling, etc.) was the one risking death for recreation.

But if it's somebody else's family member, we seem to act very differently. Interesting. I guess that makes sense, in a way.
