Highway 1 then Eureka/Redwoods, one last visit to the ocean then the quickest, most direct way to Reno and Salt Lake. An easy 5 days then by day 6 you'll be anxious to be home and won't mind the 535 miles from Reno. Just plan on $4+ gas in California.
